The tradition
What makes a Sadhya so special
Onam is Kerala's harvest festival, and the Sadhya is its heart — a vegetarian banquet laid out on a fresh banana leaf, eaten together, course after course. Every dish has its place on the leaf, from the parippu and ghee served first to the payasam that ends the meal.
At Woodlands, our chefs from Kerala prepare each item the traditional way: coconut ground fresh, curry leaves tempered in coconut oil, and no shortcuts. It is the same kitchen that made Woodlands Hong Kong's first Indian vegetarian restaurant in 1981.
