About the Founder
My name is Arun, and my journey with Woodlands began not as an owner, but as a loyal guest. My career was in engineering, but my heart was always at the original TST restaurant, where I ate almost every day. I fell in love with the authentic food and the soul of the place.
When I saw the restaurant I cherished face the risk of closure in 2018, I knew I had to step in. It wasn't a business decision; it was a mission to protect a legacy. I brought back the original master chefs and poured my passion into reviving the flavours I'd loved for so long. My promise is to honor that history while innovating for the future, a commitment I bring to our team and our guests every single day. Our Wan Chai branch is a perfect reflection of this vision—a modern, elegant space that celebrates our traditional roots while offering something new and exciting.
